Champions born at CUFC
It has been a historic time for Commonwealth United Football Club (CUFC) as our players took their training from our pitches to the school varsity stage.
From securing inaugural championship titles to podium finishes in some of the region’s most competitive youth brackets, the CUFC spirit was on full display.
A Historic First for Ateneo Girls Varsity
The headlines were stolen by a powerhouse group of U6 and U7 CUFC girls who led the Ateneo Girls Varsity Team to a milestone victory. Charlie Dela Cruz, Lexie Enerio, Tala Lorenzo, and Lara Martinez proved to be the engine room for the squad, securing a historic podium finish and bagging their first-ever championship title at the Ignite Cup held in Alabang last January 2026.
Blaze Leads U8 Charge
Blaze Gonzales, a standout CUFC U8 player and member of the Ateneo 2018 Football Varsity, displayed incredible grit at the Ignite Cup as well. Blaze and his teammates battled through a tough field of competitors to secure a 1st Runner-Up finish. His composure under pressure and technical skill served as a testament to the hard work he put in during our CUFC training sessions.
Seeing our kids lift trophies for their schools is a true validation of our development program. Congratulations to all our varsity stars! The future of football is United.
